The Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia, the civic history museum of the capital city, as of 9 January 2024 has reopened the doors of the The Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia, the civic history museum of the capital city, as of 9 January 2024 has reopened the doors of the renovated and refurbished British Period Gallery (1878-1960) permanent exhibition space. The Gallery also includes a section dedicated to the fascinating history of the Nicosia Municipality, as well as some of the most important milestones that have marked the history of life in the capital until today. Following a curatorial lifting which included revision of texts, reorganisation of the objects and the construction of new exhibition cases, the room offers now a new experience to the visitors and narrates the history of the British period through a careful selection of objects and photographs.
